Contribution Types
We invite contributions in the following three categories:
- Research Papers (up to 10 pages + unlimited references) present high quality, original research of relevance to the TPDL community. Submissions should detail their methods and techniques in sufficient detail to enable replication and reuse. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and presented as conference talks.
- Practitioner Papers (up to 10 pages + unlimited references) present high quality, applied work of relevance to the TPDL community. Submissions should focus on results that are of direct relevance to practitioners and institutions in the TPDL community. Methods, tools, and techniques should be detailed sufficiently to enable application by other institutions. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and presented as conference talks.
- Short Papers (up to 6 pages + unlimited references) present high quality, original research of relevance to the TPDL community. Submissions should present more focused or smaller studies, for example preliminary results, ongoing work, or late-breaking results. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and presented as conference talks.

Submission guidelines
All papers must be submitted as PDF documents through the Research, Practitioner, or Short Paper tracks on the conference’s EasyChair site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=tpdl21. The language of the conference is English.
Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers.
The reviewing process will use double-blind reviewing. You must ensure that your paper is fully anonymised when you submit it. Please do not include your name or affiliation, or other identifying details so far as this is possible.
At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register for, attend, and present the work at the conference.
